Localytics
Location-based app automation and marketing
Supports data-driven analytics by combining CRM integrations and predictive app analytics into one place, so marketers can track app engagement based on pageviews, video playbooks, category clicked, or lifecycle status
Tracks new users and user acquisition campaigns across web, mobile, and SMS so marketers can analyze event postbacks and target push or in-app campaigns to custom user segments
Enables “prediction creation” so marketers can predict churn or conversion based on specific events
Remarkets and deploys A/B tested in-app, push, or email campaigns to targeted audiences based on location, so marketers can send custom messages as customers near your “geofence” or location area
How Localytics works
Implementing Localytics is similar to installing Segment for the first time with a bit of added complexity. You’ll need to create a plan that includes all the events and user traits to be collected, decide which libraries and SDKs you need to collect that data from, and install them into your product(s). The Localytics API is similar to Segment for event data and userId, but there is added complexity to learn if you’re recording user attributes since some important attributes get their own API methods rather than all fitting under traits
. Localytics offers some very advanced reporting capabilities so skipping the install time and getting right to analysis will get you to ROI much faster.
Get more out of Localytics with Segment
When you use Segment to send data to Localytics your developer only needs to learn Segment’s API and 3 simple methods: identify
, track
, and alias
. Once Segment is installed your customer data will flow into Localytics and also be sent to your other tools like email, chat, push, ad conversions, etc. There are many cases where, via Segment, you’ll get access to data in Localytics that wouldn’t be there without custom codingotherwise. Many email integrations that Segment offers also push activity back through Segment and out to integrations, including Localytics. This means that with Segment, you’ll also see Email Delivered, Opened, Clicked, etc. in your Localytics reports. Similarly, automatic events also work for most live chat integrations. As long as the live chat integration and Localytics are both loaded by Segment, you’ll see events like Live Chat Started, Message Sent (and others) also show up in Localytics.
