How Chartio works
Chartio is a powerful and intuitive business intelligence platform, but it’s up to you to input the right data in the right format in order for it to be useful. Chartio provides two methods of connecting to your database: Direct Connect and Tunnel Connect. Direct Connect is the easiest method as it simply requires you to whitelist Chartio's IP address (`52.6.1.1`) and enter your connection details on the connection page. Most direct connections are straightforward, but some require extra connection steps. Refer to Chartio’s documentation for details for your setup.
If your database is on a private network and you do not wish to modify any firewall rules, you will need use an SSH tunnel to make an outbound encrypted request from your network to Chartio.
