The integration between AppsFlyer and Segment empowers AppsFlyer Data Clean Room (DCR) users to safely enrich and leverage their first-party data, enabling enhanced insights, audience activation, and closed-loop omnichannel measurement while prioritizing user privacy. By utilizing privacy-preserving techniques within a clean room environment, brands and partners can collaborate, analyze data, and create targeted audiences without exposing personal information, ensuring compliance with stringent data protection regulations and unlocking powerful advertising and analytics capabilities.
Step 1: Sync Profiles to the Data Warehouse
In Segment, from the side menu, select Unify > Profile Sync > Add Warehouse. Search the warehouse type. This recipe will be using Snowflake as an example.
In the configuration screen, enter the Account, Warehouse, Database, User and Password Same connection settings from the Warehouse you share in AppsFlyer

Step 2: Set up your AppsFlyer connection
Once you have set up your destinations in Segment, the next step is to connect them to the AppsFlyer DCP. Here’s how:
From the top of the main DCR page in AppsFlyer, click the Manage connections button > + New connection. In the New connection dialog, select the Snowflake tile and enter the Snowflake account ID and region for the account that contains your custom source data.

You can get this information by clicking on the account name at the bottom-left corner of your Snowflake console.
Step 3: Set up your AppsFlyer source
Set up a new source that contains data you want to share in the DCR.
Go to the Sources tab.
Click the + New source button. The New source page opens.
Enter the name of the source.
Specify the source location.
Select the connection in which the source has been created.

To complete specifying the source location for Snowflake sources:
Select the share containing the source data.
Select the schema in which the source table is located.
Select the table in which the source data is located.
The lists from which you make these selections contain the shares, schemas, and tables, respectively, in the Snowflake account you specified when creating the connection.
Define the source structure
To load fields from a source located in the data warehouse, click the Load fields from sources button.
Click Save to save the source.
