How Perfect Audience works
Getting Perfect Audience implemented isn’t too complicated, but it’s another code snippet that needs to load on all of your pages, which comes with costs. For more advanced features like recording events to Perfect Audience, you’ll have to learn and implement the Events Javascript API. Ecommerce stores will likely want to record product views and purchases, which requires a few additional lines of Perfect Audience code. A developer will have to write code to retrieve Product IDs, Order IDs, and Revenues in order for you to serve visitors with dynamic product ads.


Get more out of Perfect Audience with Segment
When you have Segment, the Perfect Audience script can be loaded automatically in the background, so there’s no need to manually add the code to your site. To use custom events all you need to do is enter the relevant Segment event names into your configuration in the Perfect Audience app. The order_id
and revenue
(or total
for Order Completed
) will be sent with any track
call that already includes those properties. For Product Viewed
events, the product_id
or product_sku
gets passed through to Perfect Audience to power dynamic product ads.
