How Nudgespot works

Nudgespot campaigns are powered by customer data. You’ll need to install the Javascript library to load the Nudgespot messenger on your site and start collecting customer data. Any data about the identity of a visitor and their actions on your site needs to be sent directly to Nudgespot’s API endpoint. Triggers for messages are configured within the Nudgespot app only once you have the attributes and events configured properly in your code.

Segment will automatically translate data about your users and their actions (identify and track calls) to the corresponding Nudgespot user attributes and events, in the data format Nudgespot expects. Segment will also load the Nudgespot Javascript library on your page for you, so you can get started messaging users without learning or installing any Nudgespot-specific code.

Nudgespot also has the ability to send certain email events back to Segment, allowing that useful data set to be used in your other integrations or data warehouses. Those events follow the Segment email spec.
