How BIME works
BIME is a powerful and flexible business intelligence platform, but it’s up to you to input the right data in the right format in order for it to be useful. Before you can build your reports in BIME, you first need to import structured data. BIME offers a variety of data sources for you to choose from, including both on-premise and online locations. You can import your dataset using the Data source Builder. The Data source Builder is an interactive tool for connecting, editing, and storing your dataset. In BIME, a successfully imported dataset is referred to as a “connection.”
Get more out of BIME with Segment
If you have a data warehouse with Segment, you can quickly and easily connect your Segment data to BIME in minutes. All of the data you have collected with Segment can be loaded into your warehouse, and thereby you have the potential to view and interact with all of your data within BIME. This includes data across all of your Segment sources: web, mobile, servers, and even other cloud sources. Enabling BIME with Segment is the same as enabling your data warehouse directly with BIME, and no additional software is required.
