How AdLearn Open Platform works
The AdLearn Open Platform (part of AOL One) works by associating pixel ids with conversion events that you specify. It is powered by a Javascript code snippet which needs to be added to every page of your site to track page views. Installing the tracking code manually is straightforward, but it means going through the full process of adding new code to your site. You can use a tag manager to load and manage the code, but the new code is simply loaded on top of everything else, adding to your site’s overall load while only duplicating the functionality of your existing tracking.

When you enable the AdLearn Open Platform integration in your Segment settings, Segment will automatically include the AdLearn Open Platform code on your website for you. This means you don’t need to go through the process of adding AdLearn Open Platform code to your website. All you need to do is map your Segment event names to your AdLearn Open Platform pixel ids, which you can do directly in your settings, and Segment will take care of the rest.
